System Upgrades

PRO & Lite

The current major version of EC software is V2. Any user on V1.xx will have to purchase an upgrade if they want to benefit from the additional features offered in this version. For current prices, contact your local distributor, contractor or Bailoy.

The minor version (or update version) is currently 2.01. Any user on V2.00 can update to the 2.01 version free of charge. If you have not had this update, contact Bailoy who will arrange for this to be installed on your GTI Tablet.

Users on V2 onwards have the choice of upgrading or updating their software by remote access or by installing an auto install program from a USB memory stick. This keeps site visits to a minimum and as a result costs are reduced for maintaining the system.

Lite

If you are using the EC Lite, you can add the email report and alerts module by ordering a feature unlock key. If your tablet is connected to the internet, the feature can be added within minutes using remote access.

If you do not have internet access, the feature can be added by using a USB auto update stick which we will ship to you.

GTI-EC software upgrades are available for both Lite and Pro editions

GTI EC-Lite to GTI-EC Pro

Users can update from the LITE to the PRO by ordering an edition unlock key. The software upgrade can be done remotely but the DOU will require the firmware to be updated which is a manual operation.

A new database will need to be written as the PRO is flow managed and requires a more comprehensive range of data. Bailoy can supply data sheets for the user to collect the data themselves or offer a service to collect it for you.

GTI EC to GTI-PC

Users can update from the LITE or PRO to the GTI-PC.

The upgrade pack includes an updated firmware chip for the DOU, a computer and monitor* pre-installed with GTI-PC software and updated database**

*Computer and monitor supplied on an exchange basis only with the EC Tablet

**The EC database on file will be used to convert to PC. If any hardware changes have been made on site and the EC database was not updated, these changes will not be transferred.
