Bailoy Products was formed in 1972 focusing on the design and manufacture of electronic irrigation control systems.

A chance meeting with a green keeper in 1984 led to the idea to design and produce the first decoder based irrigation controller, which became well-known as the SC3000. The SC3000 controller was initially marketed in the UK in 1985, and it went on to sell many controllers worldwide. It is testament to the design that, more than 20 years on, the SC3000 controllers are still running problem free today.

In the mid 1990’s the irrigation market expressed an interest in a computer based system and with computer technology advancing at a great rate. The Trident and Gemini systems were developed with the first installation completed in 1997.

The sales and marketing of Trident and Gemini were undertaken on Bailoy’s behalf by the Toro Company. For many years the systems were distributed exclusively by Toro worldwide. Since 2007, Bailoy Products undertook the sales and marketing of the Trident and Gemini themselves and continue to distribute the units worldwide through a network of Dealers and Installers.
